Parents FAQS

Do we have to bring our own motorcycle?

No – we provide all the dirt bike motorcycles for your child’s summer camp experience. We have various sizes to fit a camper’s size and skill level. Click here to learn more about our bikes:

My child has never been on a dirt bike - is this camp for beginners?

Yes! We teach from beginners on up. We have developed a very successful learn-to-ride program for campers who have never ridden, for campers who have had some experience but need more basic training and for those who have more experience. Riders are put into groups by riding ability. We have special tracks and exercises designed to help beginners progress quickly. Link for more info: Instruction

My child has already begun to race - is this camp for him/her?

If your child has begun to participate in motocross races, our camp might not be for him or her. We have found that kids with that skill level may not enjoy our program and structure. We do not teach racing. You may call or email us to discuss your child in more detail:

What if my child gets hurt or takes medicine?

We have established protocols to ensure all campers are cared for during their week at camp. In addition to Red Cross training for all senior staff and first aide stations, we have certified first aide responders within a short distance of camp. We deal with minor scrapes, bumps and bruises, bug bites, etc. In case of something more urgent, we have an established routine with nearby urgent care and hospital facilities. Our Health Officer stores and dispenses all medications checked-in at time of drop-off. We communicate with parents if there are any issues. Click for more details:  Medical Care

My child has food allergies - can you accommodate his/her diet?

Yes. We have much experience over 17 years of camp accommodating campers’ food allergies and dietary needs. We have had many children attend camp with epi-pens and never had to use them here. From peanuts and tree nuts to gluten and more, we have experience in dealing with camper allergies. We have protocols in place for noting allergies, planning alternatives and monitoring the plan. For those with non-medical dietary limitations (i.e., choice to be vegetarian, religious beliefs, etc.) we always have multiple options for all meals.  It starts with parent communication, so be sure and communicate in our registration forms, before your child arrives to camp. What about your staff...how do you select and train them?

We require that all of our staff have an affinity for engaging with children, love being outdoors and have the physical, mental and emotional maturity to help us run summer camp. All these things come first, before having years of experience on a dirt bike. We train our coaches thoroughly in our learn-to-ride program. We have had return coaches every summer over the last 17 years, creating a continuity that enriches our program. All staff go through background checks and youth protection training. Do you have more than one week sessions?

Yes. Each summer camp season we will select two, back-to-back week sessions for those campers that wish to attend for two weeks straight. The weekend in-between will be included in the camper’s stay. for more information click link:
