The health and safety of the campers are our top priorities. We have established protocols to ensure that all children are cared for in a secure and nurturing environment.
We have Red Cross training for all senior staff and certified first responders available within a short distance from camp. Our first aid stations are equipped to handle a wide range of health issues, from minor scrapes, bruises and bug bites to more serious conditions. In case of emergencies, we have established a routine with nearby hospital and urgent care centers to provide immediate care.
If your child requires medication, our Health Officer will store, manage and administer it according to instructions. We ask parents to provide detailed information about their child’s medication, including dosage, frequency, and any potential side effects. Medication is stored securely and administered at designated times to ensure the child’s health and well-being.
Before camp begins, we conduct thorough health screenings for all campers. Parents are required to submit insurance cards, medical histories, including information about allergies, chronic conditions, and immunizations. This helps our staff to be prepared and to tailor care to each child’s specific needs.
In the event that a camper becomes ill or injured, we follow established protocols to provide care and notify parents. Minor illnesses and injuries are treated on-site, while more severe cases may require transportation to a local medical facility. Parents are kept in the loop with regular updates about their child’s condition and the steps being taken to ensure their recovery.
We enforce strict sanitation and hygiene practices across the campgrounds. Regular cleaning and disinfecting of common areas, including dining hall, bathrooms, and activity spaces, are conducted. Campers are also educated on personal hygiene practices, such as handwashing and showering.
Proper nutrition and hydration are crucial for the well-being of campers. Our camp provides balanced meals and snacks that cater to various dietary needs and preferences. Additionally, we ensure that campers stay hydrated, especially during physical activities and hot weather.
We understand that parents need to stay informed about their child’s health and safety while at camp.
Parents receive regular updates about their child’s activities and health status. This includes notifications of any health concerns, treatments provided, and overall well-being. We aim to keep you reassured and informed throughout the camp session.
In case of emergencies, we have established a clear protocol for contacting parents and guardians. You will be informed immediately if your child needs to visit a medical facility or requires urgent medical attention.
We prioritize the health and safety of every camper, ensuring they have a memorable and enriching experience. As a parent, you can have peace of mind knowing that your child’s well-being is our foremost concern.
