Why We Choose These Models
At Iron Horse Country Ranch, we use these models of dirt bikes for their ease of use for riders learning to ride and their durability to keep on running. Trail bike models are built to be less aggressive than race bike models which usually have an ‘R’ behind the number. The main difference between trail bikes and race bikes is the quickness of the engine and the height. Race bikes have taller shocks for higher speeds and jumps. Trail bikes have a kickstand, which is a necessity you’ll quickly realize if it’s missing, and a quieter engine, which is invaluable when learning to ride.
The Importance of the Right Model
When it comes to riding dirt bikes, having the right model that fits your current skill level is crucial for progressing safely and confidently. If you are just starting out, you need a smaller bike with an automatic clutch to learn the basics quicker. As you advance, you can move up to a larger bike with a clutch. Starting with a faster bike often leads to accidents and injuries.
Experience and Expertise
We have been teaching people to ride for 18 years at camp and have learned a lot about helping riders develop their skills quickly and safely. The correct size and model of bike accelerates the learning process. Most campers will progress through two sizes of bikes in a week at camp, and some even more. We are the “Candy Store” of dirt bikes for kids to enjoy motocross. A week at our camp can save you a lot of time and money in your child’s riding adventure.
