Swimming

it's pool time!

Any Texas Summer Camp worth their salt has to have a water-related activity as part of the daily camp experience. Our summers get hot and there’s nothing more refreshing than jumping into a pool full of cool water, splashing around, floating or playing a game of water volleyball with your fellow campers. At Iron Horse Country we know that kids need down time to free-play and relax after all that concentration, learning and riding across the Ranch. Swimming and playing in our large, crystal-clear pool is the perfect activity following the afternoon and evening rides.  Swims are twice daily from 2pm-3pm and 7:30pm-8:30pm. Lifeguard and adult supervision is present at all times with swim tests given on Mondays as part of our safety protocol. Watermelon and Ice Pops have become a tradition during the afternoon swim while the ever-popular evening “Whirlpool” has become a camp favorite. We have shaded lounging areas with chairs and tables for those who just want to down snacks and drinks and talk about the day. And of course, when you’re poolside, you gotta have some tunes!  The Coaches love to pull out our blue-tooth party boom box and start up the music!
