Summer Motocross Camp Weekend for Families
Learn to Ride with Your Child!
Welcome to Iron Horse’s Family Moto Weekend Camps! Our summer motocross camp sessions are designed to give parents the opportunity to learn how to ride motorcycle dirt bikes right alongside their children over an unforgettable weekend at our 100-acre Texas Hill Country retreat.
Riding off-road motorcycles can be an immensely gratifying and wholesome family activity. With 16 years of experience in providing learn-to-ride motocross summer camps for kids, we are thrilled to offer a brand-new experience: family-style retreats where parents and children learn to ride motorcycle dirt bikes together while enjoying all the amenities Iron Horse has to offer.
Our weekend camps kick off with a Friday check-in, where you’ll be assigned to your bunk house. The evening continues with a Welcome Dinner, gear assignment, and a campfire-side Meet, Greet & Treats with the other families in attendance.
Following a hearty breakfast, Saturdays are dedicated to small group motocross dirt bike instruction at the Barn Arena Circle Tracks and Horseshoe Tracks. After a delicious lunch, training will continue with all riders until 2pm.
The afternoons are reserved for your family to explore the Ranch with hikes or self-driven golf cart excursions. Enjoy the swimming pool area for parent-supervised use, complete with chaise lounges, floats, pool toys, and a volleyball net. And what camp experience is complete without Corn Hole, Ping Pong, Air Hockey, and board games? The Ranch features equal parts timbered and rolling open prairie land with walkable wooded areas, a large pond, and expansive open views of the sky – ideal for stargazing at night! Some folks may choose to explore the charming small towns in the area as well. We offer a handy guide upon request.
Iron Horse provides a diverse array of amenities to ensure your family has an unforgettable experience. Whether it’s the scenic hiking trails, the refreshing swimming pool, or the cozy bunk houses, every aspect of your stay is designed for comfort and adventure.
You will be accommodated in comfortable bunk houses that are perfect for families. Each bunk house is equipped with modern amenities to ensure a pleasant stay.
Our dining arrangements include a Welcome Dinner on Friday night, and healthy, delicious meals throughout your stay. We cater to various dietary requirements and ensure that every meal is a delightful part of your experience.
Apart from motocross instruction, Iron Horse offers numerous activities to keep families entertained:
